1911-D $20 Saint Gaudens DDO PCGS MS64

This FS-501 and or D/D variety was created when the employees at the mint punched the mintmark into the die twice, with the positioning of the second punch slightly off from the first creating a doubling effect to the date seen on the obverse. The current example displays an original yellow-gold hue with tinges of rose-gold coloration, bold strike, and vibrant cartwheel luster throughout.
